Dive 2: Terumbu Tiga (T3)

This is my second time diving at Terumbu Tiga.. I was there last year, October .. the visibility (vis) was not too good either due to monsoon.. but i was told that T3 was very beautiful in May- June.. I can agree with that because although the vis was not so good, we can still see the beauty of this diving site..

Terumbu Tiga also known as Tiger Rock consist of 3 big rocks that you can see above the sea level .. down below, it has more rocks with beautiful life creatures.. you can find lots of small creatures like nudie, shrimp as well as soft corals .. as they are small, you just need to look really careful .. and be extra careful not to ruin the corals .. look where you're going as well...

and of course, lots of nemo in Perhentian

Just a comment I would like to leave before I end this blog, if you're a diver, please please don't touch the fish or corals .. you might ruin or disturb its habitat .. just view, take photos and enjoy the moment.. :)

Oh ya, before I forgot, I had a chance to meet the owner's son of Flora Bay Resort, Mat Yie. The reason why I want to mention him here, other that his sweet face, is because of his talent in underwater photography.. he showed us his masterpiece and tears almost came out from my eyes (biasa la kan, dalam hati ada taman), admiring his work ..

Short trip to Perhentian Island - Dive @ 3 Ruang

Since the first day I came to this island.. my heart fall in love with it and I keep coming back to this island .. now with my new hobby, which is diving, I came here even more .. just to relax and enjoy the scenery .. so again, just a few days ago, I went to the island to sharpen my skill in diving .. and this time, i have my camera with me.. opss not actually mine, but my bro-in-law .. hehehehe . 

today's blog, or travelblog will be about my diving and some photos for reference to those who want to go there. Below are all the diving spots in Perhentian.. I just dive in 7 of the places so far .. still lot more :D

This time we went to 3 Ruang, repeat Terumbu Tiga, Batu Layar and D'lagoon .. "we" means myself and Midd .. and we made few new friends, Sham, Cikgu Aisyah, Mohar, Wan, Abg Mie (from the band group - Medicine, owner of Fauna Reef Diver), Abg Di (owner of Fauna Beach Resort) and many many more..

1st Dive: 3 Ruang ( or in English - 3 spaces)

we dive in the evening, around 3pm ..Visibility was not so good.. probably due to the monsoon season not yet over.. Perhentian Island is at its best during May to August .. and starting September to October, it's almost monsoon season, so it really depends on your luck.. they closed the island from Nov to February .. and when it came to Feb to March, it will again depends on your luck .. not all resort and dive center open at this time, and keep your expectation low if you dive during this months .. but in May and June, you can have some hope to see great views under the ocean ..

back to Visibility (vis) in 3 ruang the day we went for the dive (24 Feb 2012) , it's probably only 5 meters view ..

Virus, anyone???

I was googling on some info over the internet .. thinking that I don't want to do anything heavy that will load my brain .. sooo don't want to do that tonight.. after a whole week of training, and exam at the end of the session.. studying .. been busy .. acting busy ... .. ..  .. .. well .. you get what I mean..

So... while i was googling, trying to access a website when I got this message:

Trojan is a virus that will stay in your computer and do unnecessary stuffs .. sometimes it will make you computer become very  slow.. and you start complaining.. and complaining.. hahahaa

Imagine if I don't have my anti-virus, this virus will be installed in my computer without my knowledge.. I won't know what it will do to my computer..

So friends.. get yourself an anti-virus if you love your computer .. it cost less than RM100 for a year .. if you can buy thousands of ringgit for handphone, Rm100 is just nothing.. with all the technology nowadays, you won't know what inside a website that you surf.. it might look like a decent website, but it may contain things like this ..

c'mon ..you can make a different .. (mcm iklan JalaRaya la plak) .. hahahaha

I'm not pretty enough!!

I'm not cool enough! I'm not rich enough! I'm not smart enough!! Excuses... excusess.. excusess.. not saying this to anyone else.. I'm saying this to myself .. always have reasons when I faced something hard .. i'm not perfect ... still lot more to improve and i'm trying the best that I could to be a good person.. it's a battle and i'm not even half way to the end..

we always have excuses .. until in the end, we end up not saying anything anymore and give up..

I didn't understand the songs at first .. probably I tried too hard to understand it..
but one day while driving and listening to this song, it kind of get into my heart and my brain on how lovely and meaningful this song is ..

Have you seen the movie "UP"? yaa.. the cartoon..
but i don't think that movie was really meant for kids .. it's more to parents and to us, ADULTS..
it shows how short our life is ..

in just one movie, from the time Ellie and Carl met .. till the day Carl said Good Bye to Ellie .. and the end Carl said Good Bye to the house ..it's all in that 1.5 hours journey .. straight away I think about my mom ... we are lucky as we live in Malaysia where our culture of taking care our parents in their old age are still strong, so thank you my brother and sister for living near my mom and took care of her ..  I only see my mom like for 4 times a year .. again, lot of reasons ..  time, money, traffic jam, car not service yet, need to go somewhere else, bla bla bla, bla bla bla..excuses, excuses, excuses... sorry Mak .. and Thank You so much for understanding (i want to be like you when I'm old, mak!!!).

What I'm trying to say is .. about myself and my thought.. . that I'm going to be old one day .. in just 20 yrs, i'll be >50 .. in 30 yrs, i'll be > 60 .. and now as I'm 34, I know that 20 yrs more is not a long time .. I'm in the phase of going down the hill.. where everything seems so fast .. that's what my mom used to tell me few yrs ago ..

So .. what I'm trying to do now is to live life the best that I can .. enjoying time with my nieces and nephews, sisters, brothers, families, relatives .. and friends!!!! and I hope when I'm old, I still have you guys in my life.. and I want to be able to do like Carl did in his old age .. I want to be old and healthy.. just like Carl ..

and parents .. please don't do what Russel's dad did.. he just missed the joy of being a father and the magical moments that your kids can give you.. of course, they are pain the the ass sometimes, a sharp knife stabbed to your heart when they said something bad to you (my sister know how sensitive I am when this happened .. so childish she said to me) .. hahahhaa.. but anyway, they have something that you can't get from other adults .. the feeling to be someone that they really look up to while growing up .. don't take that from them ..

and all including myself .. be positive like Ellie .. although she didn't get to go to Paradise Fall until the end of her life, but she look at other things in her life .. the adventure of life with Carl .. and she really grateful for that journey ..

I want to be able to look back (i mean the past, not what behind me, duhhhh.. hahaha ) .. able to smile and thank Allah for everything He has given me .. and of course, to be able to free myself from this material world and back to Allah and nature ... and live life moderately with the remaining time I have .. devoted to Him, insya Allah...

yup ... that's my goal.. it's not a secret anymore now.. hahahaha :P

Journey into the Cave - Gua Tempurung, Perak

If you googled about Gua Tempurung, you can find few information about this beautiful cave .. Located a few minutes away from the highway exit in Gopeng, the cave gives you a fantastic view and adventure inside the largest natural limestone structure in Peninsular Malaysia. The place only close 2 times a year- which is during Eid Festival (Hari Raya Aidilfitri) & Haj holiday. If you're not from Malaysia, try google for Malaysian's Calendar for the exact dates as it change every year ..

How to get there:
No matter where you're coming from (north or south), just take the PLUS highway and exit at Gopeng. Turn left and probably less than 10 mins, you'll see the signboard to the cave area on your left .. they open at 9am, but normally they will wait until 11am before they bring you in.. unless you're already in big group (which is more than 20) ..  


I've been there few times, and always enjoy the cave.. this time, I bring friends from Couchsurfing, Dida and Jean. We took the most adventure trip for the cave - which took us almost 4 hours .. it's not that hard though .. just get ready for lots of crawling and getting wet.. 

If you notice the first picture, looks like a man with Serban, that's why they call it Osama bin Laden :)

Before you do the caving, make sure you:
1. Wear long pants if you don't want to hurt your knee (or wear a knee pad)
2. Bring torchlight- or you can buy for RM10 at the entrance
3. Bring extra clothes, you definitely gonna get wet..
4. Wear cloth that you don't really like - it does has the possibility to be torn at the end of journey
5. Wear proper shoes for wet activities..

Overall, it was a fun activity to do during the weekend .. if you haven't tried this, I would highly recommend it .. :D
